First Week- Orientation
After moving into my apartment on campus, I was able to meet many first-year students. Many of us were able to bond at some social events. Together, we have been shopping, eating and going to the beach together. I bought a car with two other girls, so I will be going on road trips around the island after our exams. Today, we had a study skills seminar. I am so excited that everything I will be learning in lecture and in lab will be related to my clinical experience, thus my future patients.

St. Maarten
Karina has has taken a huge step by starting medical school on the Caribbean Island of St. Maarten. It is a little island, only about 37 square miles. It is a beautiful place to live: gorgeous stretches of beach, brilliant blue water, friendly people, good food, and most importantly a little medical school . Basically, one road can take you around the island, which has a Dutch side (that's her side) and a French side. I know a lot of people want to keep posted on how she is going and what medical school adventures she is having... so I thought a blog would be a good idea. I am super proud of her!!!! Check back periodically for her updates...
